Democrat Rick Daugherty proved Tuesday at the polls that money isn’t everything.
With just 3 percent of the cash of his opponent to get his message out, Daugherty edged out Jackson Eaton for the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican Congressman Charlie Dent.
Unofficial election results compiled by the state showed Daugherty was leading Eaton 59 percent to 41 percent just before midnight. The Lehigh Valley, with all its precincts reporting, showed that same margin.
